Jail, A Familiar Face, and Beer

Honey Bunny and I are about to embark on our Friday night tradition of going out for late-night Brazilian food after my Late Night shift, but first, three quick updates. (I’ll go back and elaborate on this tomorrow morning but they’re just too good to not share right away.)

1. Station Lead was arrested last night and is in jail on $92,000 bail. Chef and the other Sous Chefs decided that he was fired. Station-mate saved the day by coming in, even though it was his eighth day of work in a row.

2. Singing Hot Apps Guy is back! His other restaurant/project has not opened for business yet, so since we were short-handed, he came back to help out and will continue joining us for the foreseeable future.

3. I had Late Night tonight, and though the food orders were slow, the bar was busy so we had to keep the kitchen open. At the end of the night, Bartending Girl hooked us all up with a round of beer — Sleigh’r Dark Doüble Alt Ale brewed by Ninkasi in Oregon. The good stuff. It was a great bonding moment :)

We were all thrilled that it was the last night of Restaurant Week. Congratu-effing-lations to us!
